Short chronological timeline of LC Sax

 

1945 – A heavily battered saxophone came in the hands of Chang Lien-Cheng. After a few years of intense research and hard work Lien-Cheng developed Taiwan’s first saxophone. The sax was sold to a Filipino musician.

1947 – The Chang Lien-Cheng Saxophone Factory was founded

1970 – Lien-Cheng received an award for his work

1986 – Founder Chang Lien-Cheng dies.

2000 Launch of the “Lien-Cheng” brand – only available in Taiwan

2002 – Official opening of the Lien-Cheng Saxophone Cheng Memorial Hall

2004 – TOYOTA asked to cooperate in a publicity campaign.

2004 – Cooperation began with the Industrial Technology Research Institute.

2005 – Former President Bill Clinton received an LC saxophone during his visit in Taiwan from the hands of the Taiwanese President.

2005 – With the findings and results of the Industrial Technology Research Institute we started to develop a first improved saxophone.

2008 – We participated in the Shanghai International Music Exhibition

2008 – The cooperation with an agent for Europe is signed, “LC Europe” is a fact.

2008 – First European LC customer: a German music school orders LC saxophones and is very pleased the quality and price.

2009 – Launch dutch website – www.lcsax.eu / www.lcsax.nl

2010 – Official ditributor for USA: Juan Martinez – www.lcsax.us

2011 – Anibal Rojas – protegé of Michael Brecker – becomes first LC Sax endorser
